How it works.

1 ) Create a citizen’s authentication key.

Establish a phone based biometric or code authentication native to your phone. Generate a second key by selecting from a series of in-app user generated photos.

2) View the daily poll topic.

One poll topic and one poll result is published daily at 12:00 pm American Mountain Time Zone. Result’s from today’s poll are published the following day.

3) Cast your vote anonymously.

For added security personal identity is never required.  Your current location at the time of voting is recorded and aggregated with others within your geographic region.

There is a deep need for a trusted public opinion polling source.

Freedom of expression is a paramount democratic need within all of us.

There is a vacuum, a great public outcry, and a historical opportunity to be had. Societal freedom rests on public policy, born from the public’s will, influenced by free voices. The trusted vote, privately cast and communally measured, is the most powerful policy and culture influencer any society has. And the most powerful reflection of personal identity is, freely spoken opinion.

Disruption of current media messaging is needed.

Along with public policy makers, the media is similarly in the dark about true public sentiment as sensationalism is the scourge of truth, and the monetary engine of many media outlets. Truth is a public value that is held higher than the entertainment value of sensationalism and a movement of the pendulum toward truth in media from entertainment is needed.

True public opinion is a strong force

Our collective soul aches for truth in politics and media. Current public policy makers lack the truth of public opinion, leading to poor policy, corruption, and enormous monetary waste.

Policy making and governance without certainty in public sentiment is dangerous.

Regardless of the level of trust in current polling methods, politicians and administrators continue to rely on these results when making public policy. Policy making and governance without the purest of certainty in public sentiment is dangerous. The degree of ambiguity of public opinion is in direct relation to the likelihood of new policy being formed based on wrong or manipulated public sentiment. The result of such policies is the further erosion of trust among citizens and incredible administrative waste. The monetary consequences of such mistakes is staggering.

Simple, easy to understand, and immutable tools to exercise our right as free citizenry are necessary.

Free citizenry is upheld by public policy, and its ability to influence said public policy through incorruptible private and public expression. Private expression, counted, and part of a collective community voice, is a need. Public expression, free from censorship or restraint, is a need.

Our blockchain technology. Your security.

The trust machine

Pure blockchains include two critical technology protocols; zero knowledge proof and public economic consensus. These combined protocols have the power to change the authority of truth from centralized proclaimed authority to public decentralized mathematical authority. Blockchain is, as The Economist calls it, “The Trust Machine”.

Privacy and security

Privacy and security vulnerabilities are critical considerations when applied to any application, especially for voting and polling on high profile people, topics, or decisions. To address these concerns, TrustPoll cryptographically hashes created data before sending it to a public blockchain. After submission, the data on the application is destroyed. All functions are executed through smart contract logic and zero knowledge proof.

User singularity

A user pseudonym identity is created by Trust Poll using two non-personal identifier keys. The first key is phone based authentication, native to the user’s phone. The second key is a series of in-app user generated photos. Users will take several random photographs using the in-app camera, creating a unique metadata key.
